A little league baseball game was full of major league emotion when a young slugger was surprised at the plate by his dad.
Staff Sergeant Steve Batista hadn't seen his 9-year-old son Ryan in 10 months while on deployment in Afghanistan. But after secretly returning, he and his wife Jillian conspired to give Ryan a huge surprise during his little league baseball game in Passaic County, New Jersey.

When Ryan came up to bat, there was a sudden pitching change, and out walked his father onto the mound. The youngster didn't seem to realize who he was facing to start with. But after taking the first pitch, the penny dropped and he charged the mound into his father's arms for a home run of a reunion.
